As a temporary workaround, do a Google search for "WebP to JPG Convertor". There's lots of on-line and standalone programs that will do it.

See this post from almost a year ago about WebP images and a free widget for inserting them.

EverWeb Widgets are always out front with the latest developments in web design!

Up until now, the problem has been that Safari didn't support the format so we have to insert both a WebP and a JPG fallback.

Support from Safari is now indicated as partial since it will only work in Safari for MacOS 11 (Big Sur) and later. It will probably be a year or two before we can use WebP without the JPG fallback.

@ Joss - I have reuploaded the widget and here's a DOWNLOAD LINK.

It's very basic but there will be a much more comprehensive version available when the EverWeb ThemeKit widgets are released. If you email me I will send you a copy of the ThemeKit version.
