Maybe I missed the setting - but I'm unable to change the font color of the test inside the facebook widget. Black on white the widget dieplays perfectly, but black on black or any other darker background color its almost invisible. So, if I didn't miss this setting (and if it's there, its too hidden): Please give a font color feature to the facebok widget. Thanks <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P --> |

There are so many different styles of Facebook "buttons" that it is not possible to have them all and their variations! Facebook Developers site has all that's required to elect options and generate the code for any type of button to paste into an HTML Widget. The Configurator has options for light/dark color schemes. Example... http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Thanks for your reply! In general you are right, in particular not: The mentioned code must be implemented inside the code either as HTML5 or XFBML- a thing one has to do outside easyweb. iframes and simple HTML not supported according to the generator. If there is a facebook widget for easy creation, it should have the proposed options. Can't be a biggy, or do you see this different? |

Quote: iframes and simple HTML not supported according to the generator. What do you mean by this? I don't think the Facebook button offered by EasyWeb is a particularly good choice since it takes up too much space. I would be more inclined to offer a combo widget where the user can choose any combination of Google +, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn etc. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! [quote="Roddy":3j5ubbdz]Select "HTML5".[/quote:3j5ubbdz] Where I have to add this to the code: ![]() Which EasyWeb can't handle as wysiwyg application - has to be done with another editor. Or did I miss something? |

Paste this part into an HTML Snippet...href="http://www.facebook.com/platform" data-width="350" data-show-faces="true" data-stream="true" data-header="true"></div>... click apply and adjust the widget width to equal "data-width" and the height to suit the button style. Paste this into the Footer Code box in the page inspector or in the site wide footer code box if the button is to appear on more than one or two pages... [code:333c4i29]<script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) {return;} js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>[/code:333c4i29] Publish to see the result. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I pasted this into a snippet and it seems to look fine. You need to change the "tiptags" to your facebook page name: <iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Ffacebook.com%2Ftiptags...amp;send=false...amp;layout=button_count...amp;width=450...amp;show_faces=false...amp;font...amp;colorscheme=dark...amp;action=like...amp;height=21" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:21px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe> |

I too need help. The EW FB widget has text that is too dark for my b.g. I've tried to follow Roddy's instructions here but it is not working. I've pasted in the HTML and footer code as suggested above - it is not working. I just want the FB count button, so this is the code offered me by the FB developer's page: I tried copying the top part into the Footer box on my page (and then the Site wide footer). I copied the bottom code into an HTML snippet and clicked Apply. Didn't work at all. It would be helpful if EW offered more options than just one. ------------------------------- rMBP 15", 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.11.6, with 27" Thunderbolt Cinema Display www.cleetche.com |
