Text in shape box doesn't maintain opacity setting.

This in version 3.3.

Per the following image. Click on the shape box and it correctly shows the opacity for the shape. Clicking on the text in the shape also shows the correct opacity. But the preview and published page applies the opacity of the shape to both the shape and text.

Hi Kurt,

Thank you for details on the issue.

Opacity applies to both text and shape.
I would suggest creating a separate text box with separate shape and place the textbox over the shape.
After that adjust opacity and republish.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes, that's what I've done, but it's incredibly clumsy doing that when you need to create many overlapping items. I'm trying to work my way off of Muse, where I currently have my font article built in.

Font Management in macOS

The text boxes in Muse work as expected. I can change the opacity of the fill while leaving the text that is part of the same shape at 100%.

This is what the shape box in EverWeb also shows it's supposed to be doing, but doesn't produce code that reproduces what it says, or looks like in the editor.

Hi I'm also having this issue. Can this be resolved in the next update? I believe the background colour needs it's own opacity setting. (it appears to in Everweb but it's affecting the text too on publishing).

Is there a solution which can be used for now? I'm using a responsive page so not sure how to overlap a text box with a shape.

Ryan
