Separate file names and titles for blogposts

It would be great if blogposts could have the same option as pages have: a dedicated header name which may be different from the file name. Reason: if I at some point want to rename a blog post, or fix a typo, I'll also, automatically, change the file name, meaning that search engines which may have seen this file many times won't fint it any longer. Example: If I call a blog file 'lemons are good', and want to call it 'lemons are really good' instead, Google etc will look for a fine called 'lemons are good', but either not find it or find an outdated version of the current blogpost. I don't mind that the file still will be called 'lemons are good' as long as I can change the title of that blogpost to something else (while keeping the original file name'. |

Hi Ole, Thanks for your suggestion. In such a case, you may want to ask Google to re-crawl your website for the new blog entries, so they get indexed properly. Technically speaking, blog post title is something that a search engine typically looks for, so if you change it, it is always good to let the search engine know about such a change. ------------------------------- EverWeb Customer Support Submit Tickets or Learn More |
