Using PayPal Widget for eCommerce

I'm in the process of trying to build out an eCommerce site and am encountering some perceived difficulties. I've added the PayPal widget and configured the button to use the "Add to Cart" feature as well as a "View Cart" button. I've also set up my PayPal account to perform the the shipping calculations. What I'm experiencing is that after adding items to the cart and clicking on the "View Cart" button I'm seeing a total for the items added to the cart but there isn't anything prompting for shipping information nor does it show any kind of shipping costs which I have configured in PayPal. If I proceed with the purchase the shipping is added to the overall charges.

Is this the proper way it should function?

Hi Arron,

The issue is that when you set up the Shipping info within your PayPal account you won't see the shipping costs until you enter your address on the following checkout page. That's because PayPal is unable to display correct shipping information without your customer's address info.

Your customers will see the final shipping details after entering their address info, but before paying.

Follow the checkout steps on your own and you should see this.
