Safari Update to 13.1 (Mac) No longer Allows Playing of Videos on EverWeb Sites

User: Les C. 3 years ago
I discovered in the Advance tab of the latest Safari update that there is a checkbox for Internet plug-ins that is now selected by default.

I can uncheck the box "Stop plug-in to save power" and that will get a video to play once clicked on.

But anyone using the latest version of Safari to go to an EverWeb site can no longer click on a video clip on a page and watch it.

There MUST be a workaround for this and/or an update that can be made by EW.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi LC,

Thank you for the details on the issue.

Could you please specify if you use our default video widget and it doesn't work?

I have double-checked it from my end and it works fine in Safari 13.1 on macOS Mojave.

Please, create a support ticket with us and send me a link to your website where it doesn't work, so we can investigate.

Thank you in advance!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,
Saleh
