Viewing Image Gallery for iOS mobile not working as slideshow

Image Gallery for iOS mobile not working as slideshow

User: Christopher 3 years ago
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've been here. Didn't there used to be a search function for the Discussion forums? Is it hidden? I would've searched this topic but couldn't figure out how to.

I created my site before EverWeb had implemented responsive websites and I'm on an old version: 2.7.0. I created a desktop version and a mobile version (two projects). I've just added a photo gallery using the Image Gallery widget. Works fine on desktop but it doesn't seem to be working in iOS on my mobile app. It displays the photos in a grid and enlarges them on a separate page. But I'd like it to function as a slideshow like it does on the desktop version. Is that not feasible?

Hi Christopher! Welcome back :) the search function is on the main forum page :)

I can't remember hearing about the problem you outlined. I'll see if I can find something for you

Hi Simon. Yes, I saw the search function afterwards, on the main page. Here's a link to the page where I added the Image Gallery widget. The gallery's down at the bottom. If you click the thumbnails, you get an enlarged photo on a new page. You then have to click back to the website. What I'd like to see is the same functionality I'm getting on the desktop version, with an actual slideshow.

HI Christopher,

When I visit the URL you posted, I get a 404 not found error.

Are you sure it is the correct URL?

Hi Paul. This is the link on my desktop page:

http://cleetche.com/documentaries/beach-hawkers.html

It redirects to this if the screen width is <600 :

http://m.cleetche.com/beach-hawkers

I guess the .html was the problem. Now that I'm looking at the mobile version on mac os, it too does the same thing: opening photos on a new page, then forcing you to click back; rather than allowing for a slideshow.

Hi Christopher,

You are using a third party widget, I believe the one for the hamburger menu, that is causing a conflict with the Image gallery widget. If you got it from EverWebWidgets.com, I would email Roddy and ask for an updated version that doesn't put a reference to jquery in there or update to a later version of EverWeb that has a built in Hamburger menu.
