Way to push "web packages" to Everweb hosting?

User: Jean-Luc E. 4 years ago
Hello,

I switch from my ISP web hosting to Everweb hosting mainly due to archaism of the first one (no way to get https, only one FTP channel allowed, etc…) and also because Everweb propose to centralise everything in one place. I will have also to develop a small site for a friend and add-on domains is a cool feature.
Nevertheless, from what I understand, the only way to post “something” is thru Everweb software… Globally, this is not a big problem but…
In my case, I manage sites to expose/sell books and I have a cool software that allows to create from PDF files HTML5 books. This is pretty interesting to present books to people without need (or allowing) for them to download PDF files and stay with the look & feel of a real books (example: http://john.boring.free.fr/NewCometa/mobile.html). But this software create basically a folder with full web arborescence and dependancies and I see no way to push that kind of thing to everweb hosting. Presently, I think the only way is to host my HTML5 books elsewhere and link them from Everweb… Am I right?
If yes, it would be “wonderful” to have something developed in that way for Everweb to do that. the “ewExternalFiles” folder would be a good target, but we can imagine another one especially dedicated for such purpose of pushing special HTML developments…

Best regards.

Hi Jean-Luc,

Thank you for the details!

If you are using an HTML Code to add books to your website, you can use HTML Snippet Widget for EverWeb. Just paste the code and click apply.

Also, we have a special widget that allows you to add PDF Files to your website and view them without downloading.

Please, let me know if you would like me to send this widget to you.
Feel free to email us support@ragesw.com and I will send you a download link.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Saleh

Hi Saleh,
Please send me the plugin to allow testing and see if it can do the job… The HTML Snippet Widget is not an option as it's not a simple HTML code I have to insert but a whole arborescence of files. I have had a look to the advanced asset management, but the hierarchy done on the Everweb software site is only internal of the software, so not a possible option.
If the PDF plugin does not match my needs, I will host HTML5 books on another server.
Best regards.
