Viewing Contact form

Contact form

I don't get the thank you with this contact form. It's supposed to say thanks, right? I tested it on Safari, Chrome, and on my iphone. No "thanks" on any of them.

I've included a screenshot of how the widget is set up.

Thanks,

HI Susan,

Yes you should receive a thank you message.

I see the form isn't on your site anymore anymore. Is it possible for you to upload the site again to a temporary location that isn't live? You can do this easily by doing the following;

1. Go to File->Edit Publishing Settings
2. In the Sub Directory field enter something like;

temp

so that EverWeb publishes to a temp folder

3. Publish and post the URL so that I can test it

In the meantime, you should also ask your web hosting provider if they support PHP because that is required by the Contact Form.

Here is what happened, I redid that page of the website and finally got the form working, it would send the thank you. It's odd because I re-did just the form many times but it worked when I redid the page. I know because I tested it with my email address a few times but when I changed it to the client's name she didn't get the email (outlook.com) and since it works with my me.com and gmail.com addresses I'm guessing that her outlook isn't letting it thru. I told her to get a Gmail address or no form. She decided on no form. Sorry for all the trouble but I did learn that doing a quick redo of a simple page may solve the problem!

As usual, thanks very much for your help!

Hi Susan,

You actually have a few other options to get the form working.

1. It is possible that outlook.com is rejecting emails but that is because you are using the Simple Contact Form. If you use the Contact Form Advanced you can enter the client's SMTP info and it is more likely the email will go through to the outlook.com email

2. You can actually do the same thing as above with any email account and then have your web host set up a forwarded from that email to your clients outlook.com email.

Either of those options may work for you. If you need more help, please let me know.
