Why does "not secure" appear in front of my website title?

Hi Tim,

This is because you don't have an SSL certificate installed.

SSL Certificates secure all the transfer of data between your website and the visitor. It also helps give you a boost to your search engine rankings.

You can easily fix this by adding the 'EverWeb Secure Shield Add-on'. Then with EverWeb you will just have to select the 'Use Secure HTTPS Urls' from the File->Edit Publishing Settings screen. EverWeb takes care of all of the configuration for you.

You can learn more about SSL Certificates from our blog post.

You can purchase the EverWeb Secure Shield SSL Certificate from your client area. The link below should take you right to the add-ons section, or you can login to your client area and go to Services->View Available Add-ons and follow the form to add it.

Purchase EverWeb Secure Shield

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
