Viewing Simple contact form

Simple contact form

User: Susan S. 9 months ago
I'm trying to use the simple contact form on a site I'm making. Right now the website is published in a separate folder on my website. I put my address in as the contact address and the form isn't working.

I was going to use the advanced contact form but the owner of this site will not be able to get her server information as she isn't super techy and she is using an outlook.com email address.

Right now the form has my me.com address in it. The form doesn't work and when I submit it I don't even get the pop up thank you thing. I didn't get any email and tried it a number of times with different email addresses.

I also tried this form on my real website and it does not work there either. What's up with that?

The URL is: http://www.virtualassistantcapecod.com/genius/contact.html

This person wants a form (I hate them personally) so if the Everweb one doesn't work and I'm reasonably sure I can't get the server info from the client, do I have another choice?

Hi Susan,

1. To fix the simple contact form you should download the 3.1 beta and publish your entire website with it/

2. The Contact Form Advanced will still work without the SMTP details however, the SMTP details make emailing sending more reliable and we recommend you contact the web hosting provider and ask for the SMTP detail for the email address

Ok I downloaded the Beta and I hope that fixes it. Do I have to recreate the contact form/page?

Hi Susan,

No, just use the File->Publish Entire Site option and it should work fine.
