Preview not working in trial version

User: Massimo B. 4 years ago
Hello, I'm using EW trial version in order to evaluate migration from iWeb to EW. Since I can't publish my site into a local folder (for the moment) I have to use the preview to see my site and I can see a couple of problems during preview display.
- The EW logo in the footer section does not appear, as any other object I put into (as a simple test). But It's visible when putted into the body.
- The Navigation menu is not visible on the Home page while it's visible in the other pages (obviously the "include page in menu navigation" box is checked).
- Also some objects into the main body are not visible
Since I'm on the trial version (2.9.1), it's difficult for me to valuate if my site will be seen right on the web.
This problem appears with all 3 browsers.
Any suggestions?
Best regards
Max

Hi Max,

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing.

Do you happen to have dual monitors? And is one a retina monitor and the other non-retina?

If so, you may be affected by an rare bug that won't show some images if you are previewing your website on the opposite monitor than the one you have EverWeb on.

This issue is actually fixed in EverWeb 3.1 which is in beta testing at the moment. You can try it here if you like.

You will have to make a change to the pages you see the broken images on so EverWeb knows that it needs to republish them.

If you don't have dual monitors, this may be another issue.

The best thing to do would be to create a screen recording and contact support and we will resolve this issue ASAP.

You can record your screen using Quicktime which is in your Applications folder. Open Quicktime and select 'New Screen Recording' from the File menu.

Once you are done, your recording will be on your desktop. You can send the .mov file to us.

Paul thanks for your fast reply. Before to try your suggestions I have rebuilded my test site from the beginning and now it's seem to work fine. So, continuing in my trial, I will post another question into a separate thread.
Many thanks again and best regards.
Max
