Viewing Vimeo Widget Question

Vimeo Widget Question

User: Markus K. 4 years ago
Dear All,
I have a page with a vimeo player widget. When I paste the video-link from vimeo everything works fine.

In Vimeo I have a group of videos (some scene examples) and I want to have icons (stills) from these scenes underneath the videoplayer. When I click on one of the stills I want the associated video to show up in the player above. Like a response to my click -> the link in the video widget should change without reloading a complete new page (my work around for now). Is that possible?
Now I do it like that... I have 10 scene examples. I made 10 identical websites with that player inside and the 10 stills underneath. In each site the player has one of the 10 videos linked. By clicking on of the stills (via link to an internal site) I am loading the needed site and can play the right video.
So I have 10 different sites. Each of them copys the 10 jpeg files and an html and a copy of everything... so the sites load slowly.
Can I have just one site and just the player widget react to my click (like the function "link to internal site" would be changed to "clicking here changes the videolink in the widget to:..."
Possible? Thank you for hints!
Markus

The EverWeb Responsive Video Widgets pack has a widget for creating a gallery of Vimeo/YouTube videos.

If you need more descriptive text for the search engines, an option would be to use the Lightbox Video widgets available in the same pack. That way you can have a mix of self hosted MP4 video, Vimeo and YouTube on one page.

Oh, thank you. I did not realize, that there are widgets on sale :) I already thought, that the basic pack looks a bit limited. I'll definetly look into that Lightbox thing. Thank you again, Roddy!
