Image adding...

Does anyone else have an issue with adding photos to an image gallery? I can only add 10 images at a time before v2.9.1 gets overwhelmed and freezes on me to the point I have to "force quit" EverWeb.

Also, those 10 images take a long time to load as well, I tell the app to convert to web resolution but I have to hit the button each time, instead of "apply to all" working...

Hi Frank!

Thank you for describing these issues! Could you please specify EverWeb version you use? We recommend using the latest 2.9.1 for stability.
If you use a beta (any copy of EverWeb 3), please specify your build - it is displayed in the "Welcome to EverWeb" window.

May I ask you to submit a support ticket with your reply? Log in to the Client area and click the blue button "Open New Ticket" on the Welcome page. Direct link: https://billing.ragesw.com/submitticket.php
I'll take it from there and will do my best to help you!

Alex

I use the full 99 photos per image gallery on most pages and I have a total of 126 pages apparently. It really doesn't seem like that much. Each model has their own page with sub-gallery pages with their photos. Each shoot is a different page.

We share the same problem and V3 (currently in public beta) should improve things. I have about 3600 pictures and has slowed EW to a crawl with 15-20 second delays while inserting a photo or dragging things around. I sent the project file to EW and the developers saw the same problem. Then they tried it with v3 and say the problem went away.
My speculation is the internal database for storing the pictures. My guess it might be a flat file which means it has to read from the start of the database file until it finds the what it's looking for. More pictures = bigger database = more delay. V3 is supposed to use a different system.
EW is a good program but chokes on very large websites the way it is. My guess is the original concept for smaller (<10 pages) for small businesses and personal sites. Rage is very responsive and takes these things seriously so I have no doubt it's being addressed. Very few software forums have a developer answering questions.

I have not tried v3 since I rather not trust a beta on a client's production site. If you are willing to chance it - give it a shot. Or wait until it's officially released. Shouldn't be long.
