Is there life after EverWeb?

Hi.

I need to create a (moderately elaborate) web site.

After spending the better part of a day going through several video tutorials, discussion forum posts and the knowledgebase, I have the impression that EverWeb has all the features I would need for my project.

One question remains in my mind: what would happen to an EverWeb-built web site if, for whatever reason, the EverWeb software was no longer available/useable/supported?

Would it be possible to manage (add to, modify) that web site, using other tools? (I understand that the site could still be accessed ("read"?) with a browser; but could it be modified?)

Sorry for asking this, but the information I've seen gives me the impression that EverWeb uses a "proprietary" format that may only be modified by the EverWeb software.

EverWeb project files are in a proprietary format but the published websites are just regular HTML and CSS (and sometimes java script and other scripting languages). They can be opened and edited in any other code editor that allows editing of HTML/CSS code.

However, since you have EverWeb on your computer, even if it wasn't supported anymore tomorrow, you can continue to use the software forever.

Hope this helps.

OK. Thanks. I'll give it a try.
