Password protected pages...

User: Christine D. 4 years ago
Hello,
I have set up a new directory and I added password protection to the directory. I then added the child pages to the directory.

The first time logging in to the specific directory with the password protection, the password drop down menu appeared and I had to enter the username and password. I tested everything out and everything worked as it should have. Then I closed the site's browser window. I opened a new browser window and pulled up my website. I went to the directory that has the password protection, but now, I'm not prompted to enter my username and password, it takes me to the first child page.

Is there a way for the User to be "logged out" and have to reenter the information? I did not select "remember me" (can't even remember if that was an option!) I do not want my students to be able to log in and keep it open forever. I want their access to terminate at the end of each session and for them to be prompted to "log in again".

Thanks,
Christine
