MacOS Catalina 10.15 Developer Beta 1

Everweb 2.9 is broken under macOS Catalina 10.15 Developer Beta 1. I hope there will be a fix soon? 2.9 Crashes on launch with an error report requester. Dismissing this requester warns Everweb would be unstable. The program then loses the path to the Everweb website details?

Hi Mike,

It is against Apple's terms of service to talk about the developer preview of Catalina publicly.

The OS is in pre beta and shouldn't be used for production at the moment.

We are aware of the issues but many things will change between now and the release.

Please wait until the public beta to report issues and please don't post feedback publicly because as mentioned, it is against the terms and services you agreed to when signing up for Apple's developer program.

Have just downloaded the Public Beta of macOS Catalina and not surprisingly it is NOT supported by Apple being 32-bit. By when can we expect the 64-bit supported version to be available please? Thanks

EverWeb has been 64bit for almost 2 years now. Please make sure to download the 64bit version from our website.

Everweb will be fully compatible with macOS Catalina before it is officially released.

Hey guys - this is the time that can drives developers crazy. Beta software is not production level. It has bugs. The purpose of developer releases is so the developer can start to tune their program to work well with it, integrate new features and so on.
A public beta is Apple releasing it to those that are willing to test it to discover new bugs so they can be fixed.
The developer has no obligation (and certainly no time) in supporting Apple's beta release. That's why you have a way to report a bug to Apple. EverWeb, like most responsible developers, will have EW ready to go when the *official* final release of Catalina is made, not before. EW and Apple work to together when bugs affecting EW are reported - to Apple.
Please let the process work its way through. We'll all looking forward to the new macOS and it'll come when it's ready. Give Paul is break for now. The guy is way too polite to say this, so I will.
Peace :-)

EverWeb 2.9 was released before macOS Catalina was even announced. Apple has made a lot of security changes which is the cause for the current crash on launch. We are working to support Catalina, but it is still in beta. Things may change on Catalina.

We were also ready to release version 3.0 but now have to do some testing on Catalina, so please allow for us to do some testing and see exactly where the issues are.

Thanks for your patience, we will of course have a fully working version of EverWeb on Catalina before it is officially released by Apple.
