Bulk loading of images - in date order.

User: Andy K. 4 years ago
I am trying to load a number of images into an image gallery that will contain a month's worth of pix (between 100-300 images). As the current month goes on I will be adding anything from not to 40 images in a day. In iPhotos I have changed the title of each picture to the date and time and then exported these to a folder as medium size jpegs in medium quality. But no matter what I do, I cannot get the pix to arrive in the EverWeb Image Gallery in date order, which seems (to me) to be a fairly basic method of display.
In addition I could do with some advice on what would be the optimal size for these pictures for display ?

Hi Andy,

We are investigating this issue on our end to see if we can provide this functionality.

That would depend on your preference. The thumbnails are created automatically for you and optimized. There is also an optimization feature built into the Image Gallery widget (the regular one, not the responsive one).

The larger the images, the longer they take to download but the higher quality they are. So it is completely up to you what trade off you would like.

Hi Paul, Thank you for your reply - just to give you even more encouragement......I would LOVE for there to be a date order filter on the image gallery. (Date order as in date taken / created).
You're probably aware that I am being helped by Eugene with this. He has been fantastic, but I was hoping that by posting here, someone might have found a workaround that results in the pix displaying (in date order). I'm sire we'll get there.
As for image sizes, I think I will have to experiment. My previous website used the standard iWeb gallery - have you any idea what size images iWeb used ? That would be a good starting point. But with over 6000 images on the site I think this is a decision to get right first time!

Once again, thank you. Very impressed with EverWeb and the possibilities once I master things.
But that date order feature wish........
