The background color and the text color are the same so therefore you can't see the text.

Use the link inspector to select your choice of colors and whether you require the text underlined or not. Click on the menu to open the Widget inspector. Change the background and mouse over color under Submenu Options... s

What shape do you have selected in the Shape Options inspector?
