Hi, I'm getting some strange results in Firefox if you look at the same page in Safari it's not happening I wonder if you could shed some light on it possible Paul This is the page concerned although there are others ! Screen shot of what Firefox is showing http://abbaexperience.com/abbaexperience.com/frida.html Thanks Vince ------------------------------- Vince Thorne Mac 3.06 Ghz Intel Core duo 8 GB DDR3 Ram OSX 10.8.3 Email <!-- e --><a href="mailto:vincethorne@gmail.com">vincethorne@gmail.com</a><!-- e --> |

It's not the image that is the problem but the text above it. Safari on the left and Firefox on the right...![]() Firefox is notorious for this behavior but the developers don't seem to do anything about it. Most of us just accept it and allow a bit more space. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! One of the really irritating things about Firefox's (Firepox?) tendency to expand text is with CSS menus. They can look fine in other browsers but fold to another line in the poxy one. Why doesn't everybody just use Google Chrome anyway? Google rule the world now that they have a quantum computer and can read all our encrypted files and probably our minds too. I'm so glad that my thoughts are pure! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Maybe this is not all Firefox's problem although it does contribute to make it worse. I was using V 21. It's OK on V 22 but how many people always update to the latest version? I usually have the latest versions on one computer and the one behind on another. Some browsers are notorious for ditching good features and screwing up others in the name of "improvement". Safari is a good example of that. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hi Roddy I fixed it now I took your advice and left more space between the images and text you see I get a lot of visitors to my site and I get a lot of feedback!! regards Vince ------------------------------- Vince Thorne Mac 3.06 Ghz Intel Core duo 8 GB DDR3 Ram OSX 10.8.3 Email <!-- e --><a href="mailto:vincethorne@gmail.com">vincethorne@gmail.com</a><!-- e --> |

I like to space stuff out on web pages. The spaces are as important as the content. I don't know why people crush all their content together as it makes it more difficult to see and read. Most of the bad designs are produced by those who use print media techniques in web design. You would think they are scared of running out of paper! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
