Viewing Responsive Image Gallery and Captions

Responsive Image Gallery and Captions

User: Tony H. 5 years ago
I am in the process of updating my website to a responsive one.
Previously i used the "Image Gallery' to display my pictures with a caption underneath so that clients could make a note of the picture file number for ordering purposes.
When switching to the responsive gallery i do not get any captions under each photo as i did before. I have manually typed the number in for each photo in the Caption area but still nothing appears underneath the photo.

Hi Tony,

The captions for the new Responsive Image Gallery only show up when you click the image to show the SlideShow.

We are working on new image galleries with different styles but for the time being you can find a third party image gallery that may fit your needs.

Hi Paul
If I individually caption each photo in the responsive gallery and go to the slideshow every photo has the same caption as the first one on the list.

Hi Tony,

Do you have an example of this somewhere?

A bug was fixed in version 2.9, which is in beta testing under the Announcements tab in this forum, that fixed a bug where if you didn't put a caption for an image, it would use the previous image's caption.

when you open the slideshow all i get is the number 4404 on each image. Each image has its own unique number. which my customers would use to order the relevant picture.
Each image in the assets list in the Responsive image gallery has its own unique number in the caption area.

I have just updated to the Beta Version and it is fixed. When the slide show opens now each number shows up under the image

Great to hear it is fixed in 2.9.

For what you want to do, I think you will be happy with some of new features coming out in 3.0 and later for EverWeb :)
