I'm think I'm REALLY screwed.

OK I think I'm screwed. Had a system crash on my Imac fusion drive when trying to upgrade to Mojave. Big mistake. The new software destroyed my HD. Had to reformat my HD, had a backup so no worries until my back-up drive failed. OK my web site cusomvintagetrailerparts.com had been shut down for a couple months for medical reasons and then on top of that now that I'm ready to open up again, but! my everweb site is gone?
The site is still up and running on line but how do I gain access? I found backups when trying to recover lost docs but none work? OK is there a way to download the site from the server? I'm told no. Then can I some how get back in and replace an existing page? I'm OK with leaving the bulk as is but the home page says I'm closed for med reasons. If I could just replaces that page I can get around it via email for a while. Got my fingers crossed but then agin I'm on my second tequila.

HI Lanny,

Sorry to hear about the issues you are having.

If you have a backup of your project file you should be able to open it in EverWeb.

If you are having issues doing that, can you please be specific in what happens when you try and open the backup in EverWeb?

What is the file extension of the backup file?

You cannot download a website that is online already into EverWeb.

Since you are not using our web hosting we cannot go into your website and modify it for you easily.

If you need help changing something on your website, maybe a support rep can help you depending on what the changes are. We would need access to your server though so please open a private ticket so we can help you.

We can rebuild your website for you as well based on what you have online. Please open a ticket with customer support for that as well.

Hey Paul, Well that gives me some hope but I fear the options may be out of my reach financially. I'm retired and run this little business out of the basement. OK I have backups but they had to be recovered from a formatted HD.
They end in .ewbackup I will start a support ticket on rebuilding the site.
Thanks

You shouldn't have any problem opening the .ewbackup file in EverWeb. If you do, please let me know exactly what happens when you try and open it.

You can also ask for a no obligation quote to convert your website. If the quote is too high for you, you don't need to do it. Fill out this conversion form and just mention you are converting from a website online, not a iWeb site.
