Advanced Web Form and Gmail

Just setup an advanced webform and used the gmail smtp settings and the gmail account info, but nothing seems to be coming in when you submit the form on the live site. Anything special I should be doing? I tried both SSL and TSL and no dice. Using smtp.gmail.com for the server and my gmail username and password and the appropriate 2 ports based on the encryption. | |

If it's any help, recently I was testing a new form widget using a Gmail address and I wasn't getting the results. The next day, they appeared in my Junk mail. I then used a web mail address and the results came back immediately. I should know better because I usually always set up a web mail address on the server as a redirect to Gmail for all my forms. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Gmail can be a little strict sometimes with email coming in from the web form. I suggest you do as Roddy did and set up your own email with SMTP details and then forward that email to your Gmail account. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
