EW2.8.0b Build: 2104 Widgets 'Flexbox' and 'Text Section' hyperlink formating defaults to base colors

The hyperlink button in the widgets 'Flexbox' and 'Text Section' always defaults to EW base hyperlink colors: Normal 0000FF, Rollover FF0000 and Visited 800080. Even if you change the hyperlink formatting colors as you would do for other objects, or if you have set Default Styles in the 'Set Default Link Colors...' window. What ever you do doesn't matter. The widgets do not behave like other EW objects. Regretfully the widgets themselves have no controls to set any hyperlink formatting.

Hi Cornelis,

In EverWeb 2.8 beta build 2104 the Text Section should use the link colours from the hyperlink tab. I did just test this. If you have a sample page published that doesn't, please post the URL so I can take a look.

We just added the same behaviour for the FlexBox widget.

When you change the colours for the links under the Hyperlinks tab you may not see it immediately reflected in the EverWeb design area but you will when you publish or when you make another update to the Widget settings under the Widget Settings tab.

We will release a new beta shortly with fixes for the FlexBox so you can adjust the hyperlink colours.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your swift response. I have not published my website yet, which I almost completely converted to responsive. At the moment I'm working with the previews for each web browser and simulator functions only.
You are right, the Text Section is using the linked colours from the hyperlink tab. Only the Safari preview doesn't show the linked colours, but the Firefox and Google Chrome previews indeed show them.

We just posted a new beta version which fixes the issue for you with Text Sections in the announcements section.

It could be a caching issue in Safari. Or if you have visited the link in Safari already you may be seeing the visited link colour.
