These pages are created using a responsive widget.

Here's an example of a page with a responsive text area which uses one of the Mobile Container widgets.

dear roddy.

i purchased those widgets but the dont do what happens on page i posted. please look at it again. if i smaller the windowwidth the text rearrange itself. i tried the "mobile text" and the "mobile text wrap" but nothing rearranges itself, the text staylayouted as is and i have to scroll right and left to read.

whats wrong? wrong wigdet? my page is set to centered layout, the widget is set to full with

You need to set the content width to 320px and then use the Full Width control to expand the width of the widget to its maximum width setting. Then it will be responsive down to the width of the smallest iPhone.

It's much easier to use the new reaponsive widgets for text...

Text Module

Text Wrap Image

Auto Text

when i use the mobile text wrap widget and set i up to 320 max width, and full width, as you proposed, it is allways 320, even though i look at it on a computermonitor where it could expand up to at lest 700 of my page width.

and if i set it up to 700 max width, it stays at 700 width, even if the window gets smaller in width than 700...

i dont experience any responsive acting. its just a text window wit a static width for what i can see..

???

The responsive widgets need EverWeb V2.8 which wasn't available when you first opened this topic.

IT STILL ISNT , there is no V2.8 to download or to update ..??

dear roddy.

the situation:

as the dynamic layout doesnt really work in ev - at least not the way i need it to - i have a centered layout with 680 width.

in this page i need a texfield that is just "normal" when the browser/device width is big enough for - like on a laptop the textfield will have about 600width..

if i watch the page on a mobile, i cant read the text without enlarging the screen, but a normal textfield is croped then and i have to swipe from left to right to left to right andsoon to read the text. so i need the textfield to be responsive - like if i larger the screen on my mobile to be able to read the text only by srolling down - the textfield must responde to enlarged (or actually smallered) width - so to say, fit in the zoomed screen. the text itself should rearange itself to fit the new dimensions.

how please. and it only need to work with the text field. i want the layout to keep beeing centered, and the rest of the page width to stay 680px as mentioned .

is that possible please??

thanks.

if you want a responsive layout, download V2.8 beta from the Announcements section of this forum.

You will see that the Dynamic layout has been replaced by a Responsive one.

hi roddy. thanks

am not shure if a want a responsive layout, nut thanks. how can i get a responsive textfield anyway in my centered layout please. can i use the widget i allready bought in my centered layout?

Select the widget and check the Full Width box in the Metrics inspector. Make the widgets max width wider than the page content width and it will be responsive down to that width.
It can't reduce in width less than the content width because that is fixed at whatever you set it at.
