I have added text to a few of my pages. Within Everweb, the text is at about 24pt and 64pt Perpetua font for the text over the shape and the title "Archives" respectively. On screen after publishing, its about 14pt at best. Why is this and how can I fix it? Thanks for your help. Jenny |

Can you post the URL of the page so that the code can be reviewed?

It's quite often caused by the browser not loading all the files from the server after an update. Browsers store previously visited page data in a cache so that the page will download faster the next time it is visited. When you publish changes to your site, its best to hit the refresh buton a couple of times or put a ? at the end of the URL to force the browser to load the files on the server rather than those in the cache. You can achiev the same result by clearing your browser's history but that will remove all the stored data from all the other sites you have visited too. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hello, I have a similar, however it has been several days and I have tried clearing the cache, using different browsers on different computers and still have the issue. I have also published several times, full-site. The website is www.bluewhaletheatre.com. Thanks in advance..! | |

It's most likely because of your use of non web safe fonts. When a vistor's computer doesn't have a particular font installed, the browser substitutes and that can cause layouts to break. If you want to use non web safe fonts, the easiest way is to use those hosted by Google. Otherwise you need to self host them which is a bit more involved. Find out more about using the fonts HERE. Also, check out the Instructional Videos and the one about Using Google Fonts. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I also have some fonts slightly different to what was created on EverWeb. However, it is fine on FireFox, but it is different on Safari. Why is it different for different browsers? It is kind of ok using my phone Safari, but not on my Mac. How do I fix this? As I'm worried other people looking on my site on Safari, which is very popular, will see those odd differences... www.willsdt.co.uk Last edit 5 years ago |
