Viewing Lists (bullets & numbers)

Lists (bullets & numbers)

As long as you are using points ,rather than alphanumeric, you can just use a secong widget if you need more list items.

I've never had anybody request a transparent background for any widget which uses text!

I am using a second widget (and third in some cases) to address the need for more bullets.

It's surprising, though, that my request for transparency is a first, given the prevalence of transparent text boxes on the web. Even EverWeb produces transparent text boxes (now, if they would only add a list feature!!) How else would one put text on top of photos or other graphics and allow the text to be read for SEO purposes? In my case, it's text on top of background elements that I would like to show through.

A large number of your potential visitors have readability issues so text with a transparent background over an image is not a good idea. I showed a friend who suffers from dyslexia the Scroll FX WIdgets demo and he just walked away shaking his head!

Most EverWeb users don't seem to have a version of their site for tablet users so they need to cut out extravaganza like full size background images and get rid of text hyperlinks, hovers etc.

Having said that, if you really want a version of the list widget with the option to have a transparent background you can Contact Me.

It is so easy to make lists (bullets, decimal etc.) in iWeb. Why Can´t you make/adopt the same method in everweb? I need to make long numbered lists of songs we play in my band. The list should also be easy to update later on....
Kind Regards Kjeld
p.s. still I think that Everweb is a great app and it´s really fun to make great web-pages in it. :-) thanks for that

I agree with all the requests to have this integrated functionality. I have been using the two widgets from Roddy that in themselves are excellent. However the problem arises with tablets like the iPad that renders things differently when for example one needs to use bullets in different parts of the same document interspersed with non bulleted text before and after the bullets. The layout becomes impossible unless huge space is left between the widget and the text box or two or three iterations of the widget. Otherwise the text just overlaps. Having the facility to use lists within Everweb would solve one of the banes of my web design.
