Viewing Standalone licence problem

Standalone licence problem

User: Colin P. 5 years ago
My standalone licence now won't let me publish to a folder on my computer or to my independent FTP site. The message comes up that the licence upgrade/support has expired and I need to pay for a 1 years upgrade subscription? I'm not using Everweb hosting so why is this?

Hi Colin,

EverWeb comes with 1 year of free upgrades and support. If you upgrade within the software by going to EverWeb->Check for Update you will receive 2 warnings about the upgrade if it is not free and you must explicitly agree to download the upgrade. In version 2.7+ you now receive 3 warnings.

Your old version is moved to the trash folder.

You can always download any previous version from your client area as well.

You last extended your update plan on 12/29/2016 which means you would receive upgrades until 12/29/2017. Your version that you purchased never expires and you can use your purchased version and upgrade forever.
I hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem. My standalone licence expired in March 2018. I have the 2.7.0 version
I can only renew or download a previous version I don't have.

Nevermind. Sorted :)

I have this same issue. I have version 2.7.0 build 1980 and can't publish anymore - I get the same error message. Your answer above isn't clear as to how I can continue to use my purchased version and upgrade forever. So what do I have to do?

Hi William,

Your upgrade and support plan expired on 2017-11-26

Which means you need to login to your client area and go to Services->My Services and select your Standalone License. Then you will see available downloads. Click the link and download the EverWeb version released before that date.

You should be able to use version EverWeb 2.5.1 or earlier.

Any later versions require an upgrade for $49.95 USD.

I have extended my upgrade and support plan, but when I try to upload my site to my folder it still tells me that I have no active Everweb account. How do I fix this?

Like the original poster Colin, I have a standalone license and now won't let me publish to a folder on my computer or to my independent FTP site. I won't allow me to publish asking for an upgrade. When I purchased this - a while ago, I specifically was making sure I could keep running the version I had with updating/upgrading. In Paul's note above, he said "You should be able to use version EverWeb 2.5.1 or earlier." And my version is 1.9.5 build 1495.

I would appreciate help on this...

I am having this exact same issue.
Worked just fine last month.
Did something change?
