It's really starting to tick me off. I'm trying to add a high resolution asset, but it keeps adding it to External Assets. STOP IT! | |

Hi Steven, I'm very sorry for the issue you've experienced. Could you, please, elaborate? What file type are you trying to add? I will be waiting for your reply. Best Regards, Chris EverWeb Support Team ------------------------------- EverWeb Customer Support Submit Tickets or Learn More |

If an asset is a JPG or PNG image, EverWeb will add it to images. All other file types go into the External Files folder. If the item is an oversized image, EverWeb should give you a warning notice and the option to add it to Images rather than External Files. Any image inserted on a web page should not exceed around 980px. It should be reduced to the actual width that it will be inserted before importing into EverWeb. Full width images don't need to be any wider than about 1600px. Otherwise the page download time will suffer. When using a broadband connection, a web page should download in 2 seconds and less for the mobile version of the page. Find out more about Image Optimisation. If you want visitors to have the option to view a high resolution image, you should add it External Files and create a link to it so that they can open it in a new browser window. That way, it doesn't effect the page download time. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
