Hi- I'm trying to mimic something like this site: http://www.michaelnielsenmusic.com Where when resizing the window the background image resizes and the title and navigation menu resize when the window is made smaller.. I've been through the tutorials and maybe missed it, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! |

Hi Robert, In order to create a similar site to the one you mentioned, you should use page background feature, set it to dynamic width and image fill, this way it'll resize with the window. Also, you should check this tutorial about the new responsive menu: https://www.ragesw.com/blog/2018/03/15/everwebs-new-responsive-navigation-menu-widget/ Let me know if you have further questions. The web page you refereced uses what is known as a viewport height image in that it fills the browser or device window no matter what size it is. More advanced user can create this using one of the Code widgets. Here's a demo which also has content below the image and a scroll down function. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Thanks Chris- By dynamic width you mean full width and you mean browser background instead of page background? As I don't see any options to make page background full width, only as a browser background? Thanks Roddy- but I'm not quite at the advanced user stage yet!, lol. |

I'm working on some widgets for a future version of EverWeb. One of the simpler viewport height widgets does what you want. It's a viewport height image with an overlay and responsive navigation. The more complex ones will have items that animate in like this demo of an MP4 video which slides down and the overlay darkens the background viewport height image. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
