Everweb 2.7b has major issues in Mac OS El Capitan. I hope it will be fixed by the time you release 2.7

What issues does it have with El Capitan?

Can you please provide some details and we can fix them ASAP.

As per reported by others EW users: widgets shrink step by step to minuscule proportion in OS El Capitan.

Both Spyboynola and WellNl mentioned the widgets shrinking problem in THIS topic.

It appears that the photos download into the asset folder for the current website being worked on. Which is fine if I am only creating one website. But if i was to create another site using everweb it appears that i would have to download the sames photos again. Is this correct or am i missing something obvious? I was thinking photos should get downloaded into a media folder to be accessed for other web templates to utilize?

Great feature by the way...

This issue appears to be because of non-retina screens and should be fixed in the next beta version.

The next beta is available from the above link and fixes the issues with widgets resizing themselves.

@Steve: Sorry I accidentally deleted your post instead of quoting it.

But to answer your question about using 2.6.x instead of 2.7 the new features included in this release are pretty significant. The quantity of fixes vs new features doesn't show the whole picture.

We had a 2.6.1 release with just the fixes but decided to include the new features at just release 2.7.

The new features are very exciting and we hope you like them!

The stock pictures are very very nice. How come they are for free? Is it even okay to use them on a commercial website?

The responsive menu, when set at 700px, does not show up on my phone with a screen width of 480px. The browser is scaling the full width of my page (800px) and when doing so it does not encounter the 700px-limit and therefore is not showing the hamburger menu. The hamburger only shows up on my Mac when making my browser window smaller than 700px. How come?

2.7 has inherited two issues of 2.6:
- ftp server connection time outs in some cases (about one in two times when publishing): luckily 2.7 is giving a more detailled error report, which I have sent to you in a service message
- specific hover over button backgrounds (in my case: grey on hover over, white on normal) are not shown - the hover over effect is not published (as was in older versions of Everweb)

Yes, they are free to use on any website

"The hamburger only shows up on my Mac when making my browser window smaller than 700px. How come?"

Can you open a support ticket and provide us with your project file so we can test? It could be that you have included code in there to do prevent scaling.

You can also post your website URL here so I can test.

Looking at your support ticket it looks like you selected FTP over SSL as your protocol but your web host doesn't support that. It only support regular FTP so you should select that option. You can see this in the error message that comes up;

"500 This security scheme is not implemented"

Do you have a URL that shows this?

A simple project file sent to support will also help in figuring out this issue.
