Viewing File locations
File locations

I'm leaning towards buying EverWeb. It seems very easy to use, yet powerful enough. But one thing irritates me enormously: that EverWeb stores files in some obscure location. Other easy-to-use web editors store files in regular directories in for example the documents folder. One specific problem: I have two computers that I sync through DropBox. I would like to edit my webpage on both. How can I do that with everweb? |

HI Anders, By default EverWeb keeps your files in its Library folder. You can use dropbox syncing to work on a website on more than one computer by following this video tutorial; EverWeb and Dropbox ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Great, thanks. That was my only concern, otherwise EverWeb seems to do what I need, easily. | |

Thanks for this suggestion. I tried to use Microsoft OneDrive instead of dropbox but it does not work. You get a zip file on OneDrive which is impossible to unzip. I ended up with a basic copy and paste between the Library/Application Assistant folder of both computer. It needs some workaround but should work. A better way I found is iCloud but also with I cloud you still need to copy and paste the file into the Library directory of the second Mac. I would like to find a way to sync the project automatically between computers. Last edit 5 years ago |

You don't need to move the file into the Library Directory. That is only if you want it to appear in the Projects Window You can go to the File menu in EverWeb and select Open to open any project file or you can just double click the ewproject file in the Finder like a regular document ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
