Photoshop Export Save for Web (Legacy) images a problem for EverWeb now

I brought this up once before and got blown off. Now the issue is coming home to roost. I moved a few page contents that use the Colorbox Gallery Widget for a number of images. Those image were created in Photoshop before the last changes but still used the now legacy save. ALL of those images now refuse to load load.
Here is one where I took out the first image image / placed it in Photoshop / did a nothing change / saved regular jpg / and used to replace the same image in EverWeb: Link

Reconnecting the image does not work / taking out and putting back does not work / only a nothing change in Photoshop and a save as jpg and then reloading in EW works.

I have a large number of pages using this that were created the old way - so it would be best if the nonrecognition issue were corrected rather waiting for me to have to fix every image.

At this point I have about 100 images to fix this way. Not fun. As illogical as this seems, it is REAL.

To be clear - if the images were uploaded in an older version of EW and connected, they remain connected. Break that connection for any reason or in any way, there is no going back and using those images for this widget OR for the main image announcing a Blog entry. Otherwise they seem to work fine.

Link above NOW leads to a functioning page because I spent hours fake-changing the images and saving them without using PS Save for Web. Before this - you could click anywhere in the gray bg and get a message that the image under that location failed to load. And by the way, in case this isn't clear – none of this problem shows up in the app on the computer, there all connections are made clearly. It's when uploaded that it comes to light.

The last updates to EW simply has to done something where images linked to some widgets will not connect properly if saved this one particular way. Again, seems crazy, but can be very easily demonstrated.
