Font and Hyperlink Problems

User: John G. 8 years ago
I use a MacBookPro™, macos HighSierra 10.13.2, EverWeb 2.6.0. Following problems text color is black after upload instead of the chosen color. I solve it with export text as picture but then all hyperlinks in the text don't work anymore because it's picture now. Problems with hyperlinks: works only if you choose the menu INSERT and then hyperlink, underscore on/off don't work as it should and the color of the link is not the color that you have chosen.

Hi John,

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing.

You don't need to use the 'Export text as image' option. Most likely you just need to empty your browser's cache and everything will work properly.

This shouldn't be the case. I have tested this and everything seems to be working.

If you provide a screen recording of what you are doing I can tell you what the issue is;

You can record your screen using Quicktime which is in your Applications folder. Open Quicktime and select 'New Screen Recording' from the File menu.

Once you are done, your recording will be on your desktop. You can upload the video to youtube.com or any video showing website and share the link here.

Thanks Paul, for you very quick reply. I empty the browser cache as you advised and everything works okay and looks great again. I was not aware of this function but I think that every one who builds a website should empty their browser cache on a regular basis.

John

I ran into this a year or so ago and it drove me crazy until I decided to clear the cache for lack of anything else to try. In my case it's Chrome which seems to be getting more buggy as time goes by.

You don't have to clear the browser history if this is an inconvenience. Clicking the "refresh" button a couple of times or adding a ? to the end of the URL will do it.
