More Modals

User: Roddy 6 years ago
Two new widgets have been added to the Modals pack.

The first is a link tab to open a modal with image links and the other one opens a time delay popup with captioned image link to sponsors, related websites, suppliers etc.

Do you mean something like the Text Time Delay Modal but with two link tabs and no text?

The confirm modal should always load at the start of the page. It should include a long scrolled text and two buttons. A button to close the modal and a button with a link to another page. It should be no close button.

Here's an example of the text modal modified to scroll with a link tab and close tab at the bottom.

In Chrome or Safari, use option + command + u to see the source code or command + u in Firefox.

Hey Roddy, this is great. nearly perfect. but I can close the modal when Im clicking outside. how can I prevent that? it should necessary to clicking a button. :-)

I have modified the java script to prevent the modal closing when the overlay is clicked. Try it again. You may have to hit your refresh button to see the change.

Most modern modal and lightbox windows are closed by tapping the overlay as it's much more convenient for the growing number of tablet users. Remember that, unless you create a separate site for tablet users, around 25% of your full site visitors will be using tablets.

Most EverWeb users don't seem to test their sites on an iPad or in the iOS Simulator. If they did, they would see how mobile unfriendly they are!
