Secure HTTPS Websites, Improved Website Rankings and More...

User: Paul-RAGESW 6 years ago
In the next few weeks we will release EverWeb 2.4.

The major feature we have been working on is the ability to have HTTPS secure websites at the click of a checkbox.

There are two major benefits to using HTTPS Secure URLs;

1. An instant rankings boost to your website. Meaning all else being equal, you should see a boost in your search engine rankings after a few weeks.

2. All data sent between your website and your visitors is encrypted and secure including contact forms

Normally setting up, forwarding and switching to HTTPS can be a time consuming and difficult process because you have to properly set up your redirects and notify Google and other search engines of the change.

For EverWeb + Hosting customers this will be set up with just the click of a checkbox.

We have worked hard to take out all the steps of going 100% secure.

Google has already announced that an HTTPS website is given a rankings boost, but over the next while an HTTPS website will becoming increasingly more important for search engines and your visitors.

We have done all the research and implementation to make this process as simple as possible for you.

Over the last few months we have been upgrading all our servers for speed and security. We have completed the process and are ready to offer EverWebers on our platform a much better and smoother and experience.

For EverWeb + Hosting customers on the 10GB plan or higher, EverWeb Site Shield is free.

For EverWeb + Hosting 2GB plans the cost is just $29.95 USD/year and you can easily add this add-on in anticipation for the next update of EverWeb.

Add EverWeb Site Shield and secure your website today.

If you have any questions, let us know. We are of course here to help 24/7

Am I correct in assuming that this feature is not available to those of us with the stand alone version with websites hosted elsewhere?
User: Paul-RAGESW 6 years ago
Hi Don,

That's correct because this feature requires server configurations and integration with the EverWeb software.

We have made changes to EverWeb Standalone so that you can implement similar features with your web hosting provider if you have the Standalone version.

For EverWeb + Hosting customers we are able to make all of these changes for you, which of course we cannot do if you are using a third party web hosting provider.

Thanks Paul. Will there be any detailed explanation on what we need to do, ask, etc. our web hosting provider for this to work?

A lot of changes can be specific to your web hosting provider and the type of hosting you have. An upcoming blog post will point you to some resources for how to implement on your own.

Glad to hear it is working well for you. We put a lot of work into taking away all the complicated set up and issues with switching to HTTPS.

ok guys and girls 2 of my sites are 404 - spyboy4u.com and nolamusicguides.com have done everything twice.

HI,

Your websites are working fine for me.

Please remember when sending screenshots you cannot just drop them from your computer onto this field. You need to click Advanced and attach your image. The image you posted is a local path to the image on your computer which no one but you can access.

Regarding any issues with HTTPS you need to EverWeb Secure Shield Add-on as I mentioned as a reply to your other post here.

I think you just tried to visit your website by adding https. This won't work because you don't have the above add-on and you haven't published your site with the HTTPS setting. This setting would require the add-on above to publish.

So your websites are working properly. Please let me know if you need any clarifications.

ATOUCHOFVIDA.COM is now on 2.4 beta, and works EXCELLENT, all links, extensions, and browsers working, it was the simplest and easiest way to redirect everything with truly just one check click. THIS IS HUGE. THANKS for all the hard work.
