Can I have a directory withing a directory? If so, the initial drop down directory is working but the secondary isn't. I've attached a screenshot - I'm trying to get another dropdown directly under "improvisation." Although I have 2 pages in the secondary directory they are not dropping down when I publish it. If I can't have a directory within another directory how do I made a directory page back into a regular page? Thanks, Susan |

Hi Susan You can have a directory in a directory in the Web Page List. However, more than one level of drop down menu is not supported by the Navigation Menu widget. The reason for this is usually that nested menus make it harder for users (ok that's a general rule of thumb that many will not agree with). Once you have converted a page into a directory page, you can't change it back. If you have pages within the directory you have created, drag and drop those pages up a level out of the directory so they stand on their own again. For the directory page itself, create a new normal page. Select all of the objects in the directory page (click on one object and use Cmd+A to select all) then copy and paste the objects in to the new page. If the directory page uses a Master Page, reattach this to the new page as well. Once done, delete the directory page (make sure you have moved any pages it contains out of the folder before deleting it) There are probably some third party Navigation Menus that may support what you want. Probably the first stop is to look at Roddy's EverWebCodebox site for more info on that. |
