I don't think this anything for the average EverWeb user to worry about. Probably the largest script you will be loading is jQuery which has a file size of less than 100kb - less than the size of a largish image. In the widgets I create, all the scripts are minified for faster download. EverWeb users should focus on cropping their images - especially those used in slideshows - to the actual size needed. Over sized images will do more to wreck your download speed than any amount of scripts. Also, consider using the new widgets for sliders with thumbnails and galleries that use separate images for the thumbs when they become available. If you were creating all the elements that use java script by code injection, you could combine them all and add a "defer" code into the Footer Code box in the Page inspector. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! As an example, THIS page has a download speed of 1.13 seconds. Compare that to most EverWeb sites using sliders and image galleries which generate the thumbs from the full size images!
