Not all "post images appear" on the blog page

Uploaded almost 40 converted past posts. In 5 of them the "post image", all set for image first and selected form the assets, all jpegs, do not appear in Safari. In Firefox an empty box with a broken link indicator shows above the text on the page. However all images appear in my pages in the app. Confusingly, all of the thumbs in the indexes are there. jamescraigphotography.com The pages with missing top image are, from the home page, the third one down in the index, and the fifth through eighth. In the main index all the rest work fine. Will be trying out deleting post and recreating it when I get a chance. But in the meantime I thought I'd ask here - even though my question about posting an audio isn't being answered - that will stop me right there for now on converting past posts. |

| Tired out the blog simply did not like those five images, possibly too large?? Anyway, went back, slightly resized one and replaced it - works. I'll do the other four later. The same images worked fine manually inserted in page but the blog did not work with them. | |

Hi James , Sorry to hear about these issues. Have you tried publishing your entire website? If so, can you please provide a URL that shows these issues? It could be that your images just weren't fully published. Also, I would try just re-assigning these images from the widget settings tab in the inspector to see if that helps. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

The problem might actually be a file name recognition bug. Turns out when when I changed those images after putting them into Everweb, and then put them back in without putting on a new name, Everweb put a (2) after the name. There they all showeup perfectly in preview, work perfectly with the archive thumbnails - even work great if dragged into the page. BUT if used via choosing a "post image" they failed to show up on line - any any browser. I got rid of the parentheses on one as a trial - it fixed it (others not) then I altered the others and uploaded again - all is now well again. I found this by trying changing everything I could think of changing, until something worked. Tried this even though it seemed to not make any sense whatsoever since it's Everweb that is tagging that (2) on the end. Last edit 9 years ago |
