Preview RSS (v2.0)

I want to preview my RSS feed that I have created and included in a Master page. When I PREVIEW the website there is no sign of the RSS feed. Note that the grey RRS block had a green arrow in the top-right corner, but that it sometimes changes to a yellow triangle. 1. Can I review RSS feeds, or can I only see them when I publish? 2. Why is the status changing from green to yellow? 3. If the answer to point 1 is "No, you can only see the RSS feed when you publish", how can I limit access to the website whilst I"m in "updating/housekeeping" mode? |

Hi Keith, I just checked this and yes you will have to publish to see the RSS feed at this time. You can publish to a temporary location on your server by specifying a sub directory name under File->Edit Publish Settings ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Hi Paul, Thanks for the feedback. One follow-up question (I'm new to EverWeb): if I create this sub-directory on the EverWeb server and then publish to it, am I the only one who can see this version of the website? Regards Keith |

Hi Keith, Anyone you share the link to can see it, but if they don't know what subdirectory you have chosen, they would not know where to go to visit the web site. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

If I set up a subdirectory "X" on the EverWeb server, how do I save to it, and then connect to it from my browser? Going to "Edit publishing settings", I see how to create the subdirectory, but it's not clear to me how I then save to it or browse it ... | |

Hi Paul, Never mind the last question - I found the vidio tutorial that explains. Many thanks for your help. Keith |
