Hi I'm about to design a trisite website. the following problem is to be solved: As soon as I pack all my fullsite - content into a specific folder the navigation menu disappears in the preview. The navigation bar consists of 1) drop - down menu 2) some more links to different pages of the site. The structure is as follows: 1) redirect code 2) folder for all the full site content 3) subfolder which has to appear in the navigation menu 4) different pages which have to appear in the navigation menu in this subfolder. In other words: is it not allowed to put all the full site content into a specific folder called "full site" (e.g.) in a trisite setup? Looking forward for all comments. |

I also have an issue with the navigation widget and a trisite setup: when I drop the nav widget to the full-site master or to any of the full-site pages, then no menu-preview is displayed. All necessary pages are marked with "Include page in navigation menu". Pages from the tablet or phone pages are un-checked, so that they would not appear. Problem: nothing is appearing at all, neither in the Everweb nor in Safari-Preview. Any ideas? |

OK, as far as I see now, the nav widget of everweb does not work with the tri-site setup of everwebcodebox.com. The menus are only showing up, if I include the main-redirect page into the navigation, but then all pages which actually are supposed to be first-level menus (horizontal), are showing up as second-level (vertical). So currently I use the Active Nav Horizontal Widget of Roddy McKay and see if I can do some tweaking and fake a drop-down menu with positioning a Icon 2 level Nav next to Nav bar... I wonder how others are proceeding when they want to provide a multi-device, multi-language site with different kind of navigation per device type? Last edit 9 years ago |

Hi Oliver O. Seems to be a Swiss issue ... I see it the same way as you do. I guess the problem is in EverWeb because -as far as I know- it is not ready for multiple level drop down menus. We will see if the recently announced update bring the solution. Has anybody else any idea for this issue? |

As long as they do not come up with a more sophisticated navigation widget, which can be adapted to a tri-site type of homepage, then one solution to this impass would be to use navigation widgets of everwebcodebox.com. For instance for the full-site I combine a horizontal nav widget with a 2 level icon menu in the example below. (site under construction, example only visible from a computer - tablet and phone have a different navigation) https://www.seminar.pro/en Last edit 9 years ago |
