His it to much to ask for SVG and HighRez Full width Image support? The fact that both of these aren't already supported in Evereweb is ludicrous. |

Hi Stephane, SVG support is something we are working on. Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "HighRez Full width Image support" so I can understand what you are looking for? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Ah please, do you have any idea how many times over the past 3 years I've been told by Everweb support be it the call center you have in Ukraine or online "We are Working On it". I've stopped counting. I've shared 100's of ideas and dare I say needed functions over the years, and I haven't seen one of them make to Everweb updates. it Seems that blogging contrary to website building is Rage Software one and only objective. Have you forgotten that many of us actually build websites with Everweb? All images that I use in Everweb are PSD built and optimized. Clients want full width hero images and or product images on their site, can say I blame them like the old saying goes; A picture is worth a thousand words. The issue that I'm having with the Full width option is that no matter how I set up the Images in Photoshop be it 1750px X 72dpi (+/- 850KB) or 1750px X 150dpi (+/- 1.8MB) once these are full width in Evereweb I get the same out of focus raged low-rez look. I can't imagine what these look like on a Retina Displays. Like it or not some of us build actual websites with Everweb I think it's high time Rage Software started listening to us. S.Lebel |

If you want to know how to insert SVGs, check out THIS article. SVGs can be inserted using the <img> tag but they are not supported by older browsers. The above mentioned article will give you info about which ones. I did make a widget recently for a graphic designer who wanted to insert SVGs in her EverWeb site. Email me and I will send you a copy. If anybody else needs a copy, I will make it available for a free download to take the pressure off the hard working EverWeb staff! As far as full screen images are concerned, they need to be 5120 x 2880 px to get good quality on a Retina iMac. Image what this will do to the page download time. To keep the image size down, you can use one of the Full Width Image widgets - fixed height or responsive height - and set a maximum width. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hey Roddy, SVG widget works great. Thanks for the free download I still don't understand why it's so hard for Rage Software to add simple and yet indispensable widgets to the Widget panel on Everweb updates. Do you think one day Rage Software will apply one of my many suggestions on adding a way to manage the Widget panel? I must have well over 200 and counting widgets and it's kinda getting difficult to single out the one widget I require. Maybe on EverWeb V3 in 5 years, that is if Rage Software gets to V3. Again, thanks Roddy much appreciated S.Lebel |
