EverWeb 2.0 Update: What's new and Beta Testers Wanted!

User: Paul-RAGESW 7 years ago
Hi EverWebers!

Are you ready for EverWeb 2.0?!

I know you have been waiting a long time for this announcement and we're very excited to be so close to the 2.0 EverWeb release!

We're looking for just 5 or so more beta testers for version 2.0. Please only fill out this form if you really want to submit feedback. We will be providing a free one year Upgrade and Support extension to anyone providing great feedback during this private beta testing. Please fill out the form below.

Plus see below for a quick contest to get your own 1 year support & upgrade extension.

Update: We have received an overwhelming response to EverWeb 2.0 and have closed the form for now. We'll do our testing and post EverWeb 2.0 here when it is ready!

(The above from was created with our new Advanced Contact Form Widget. See below for more details)

So what's new??

1. Blogging

We've completed version 1 of EverWeb's blogging platform. It's extremely easy to use, powerful and has more features than iWeb ever had. Plus we've developed it in a way that will allow us to provide blogging from anywhere in the next major blogging update.

Blogging works slightly differently than what you had in iWeb. With EverWeb you can easily use commenting platforms such as Disqus or Facebook to improve your social networking and customer experience. You can have embedded images (with image wrapping), justified text and more within your blog posts!

Already have an iWeb blog? We are working on a blog post importer. This feature will import your blog posts, but not your blog design.

2. Updated user interface

We have moved the EverWeb toolbar to the top of the screen to make the UI more modern and comparable to current Mac software. We've made other interface adjustments as well.

3. Mac OS Sierra Support

We've worked hard to improve EverWeb for Mac OS Sierra while still providing a version compatible all the way back to Mac OS X 10.6.

4. Advanced Contact form

We've included a new advanced contact form as you can see from the above link. You can include any number of form elements and it includes some great features to easily add your own forms to your website.

5. Other improvements

We've got a lot of other improvements as well including faster website publishing, especially if you rename or move pages around in the web page list.

Plus we've included one additional, highly requested feature. The first customer to guess the new feature in a reply here will receive a one year support & upgrade plan extension, or one year of web hosting.

Post your guess below and we'll let you know once someone gets it.

There appears to be a glitch in the form - if you click "I don't have an iWeb blog," it says it won't submit unless you enter a URL, and then it still won't submit at all.

Also, my guess is responsive pages?

It seems to work fine for me. Did you fill in the other parts as well?

The current guesses are not correct unfortunately. The feature is smaller, but definitely highly requested! Looking forward to more guesses :)

Spell check that's ON by default?
Rulers?
A key shortcut to (center) so you don't have to do a custom set up?
Making the function key + home pg up/pg dn end work?

I'm not sure if understand exactly what you mean here. Are you saying In App Photo Editing is built into the OS?

Have you built in a more sophisticated SEO optimiser? Added tables or layers?
