How to shorten a page?

I have a footer of sorts that is not REALLY a "footer." (I tried to include a footer on my Master page, but it always occurred at a particular "y" and I needed it higher or lower on various pages. So I just made a fake footer and put it at the "y" it needed to be on each page.) Anyway, on a couple of pages there is blank page under the bottom of that fake footer, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I can't change the "Page Layout" values (e.g., "Content Height") on those pages because they're all grayed out, and when I change the "Content Height" (or "Footer Height", or whatever) on the Master page it seems to have no effect. The only thing I can think to do is change the height of the fake footer (thereby making it cover up the extra white at the bottom), but that seems like a hack job way of fixing the problem. Is there a "right" way of fixing this? Any help will be appreciated. |

The easiest way to do this is to create the master page content height at the lowest value reuired. Insert an empty text box at the bottom of the content area and drag it downwards on each page to lengthen it. On the Full Width widgets demo, the page heights are adjusted by inserting the Full Width Footer and then dragging it down/up to adjust content height. Here's some info about Page Layout using a master page, "wireframe" page and a template page. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | Roddy, I had already done that (shortened the Master). I had set the Content Height to 250 and the Footer Height to 0, and thought SURELY that was short enough to work, but strangely it still left the extra white space at the bottom. So, even though I thought it was probably a waste of time, I went back in (at your suggestion) and shortened the Content Height to 200, and sure enough, it worked! Thanks so much! | |
