Zoom capability

As hi-def (4k) monitors are becoming more common, the need to be able to zoom into the work area becomes increasingly important. I cannot use Everweb on a 4k monitor. It's even difficult on a Apple's 27" monitor. The biggest problem is trying to clearly see where the text cursor is. Correcting typos is hard as I can't really see where the cursor is so I just make a change and then undo it and move the cursor to the right or left to make up for the number of characters it was off. Yeah, there's workarounds and I use them but Everweb should not be a bundle of workarounds. Probably not the most critical feature needed, but it's on my Top 5 list. ------------------------------- MrCourtney - Honolulu, HI -------------------------------------- Mac Studio - dial monitors; iMac 27 5K - Dual Monitors - 10 TB hub Alienware: Area 51 - 24 gb - Dual Monitors - All SSD 25 TB network storage |

Hi Courtney, It is something we would like to add but this feature is built into the system . Under System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Zoom you can set a key, such as the control key and use the track pad to zoom closer into any application. I hope this helps in the meantime. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Thank you Paul. With everything on your plate I don't expect that to be near the top and I appreciate your answer. I do use that as a workaround, but it's a poor one for me as I use a iMac without a track pad. Still, I make it work although there's a lot of extra steps. In the scope of everything going on it the world, zoom is a minor thing and I'm sure Rage will get to it as you work your way through a very long list making EW the best there is.

| I appreciate Courtney's question as I'm strongly considering a 34" ultra wide curved monitor with 3440 x 1440 resolution. After building much of my website on a 13" MacBook Pro, and more recently a retina MBP, I want more screen real estate to devote to EverWeb as well as my photo apps and other documents. I do however use a trackpad with my 21" display attached to my laptop so I'm accustomed to using gestures to zoom my applications. I can spend some $$$ for a nice 27" iMac or a less than half on a good ultra wide monitor and attach my retina MBP via thunderbolt or display port. There will be a learning curve for sure either way. Thanks for the topic. | |
