Please set up iPads to view the optional Mobile Page instead of the current Desktop Page default. As both iPhones and iPads run the same OS with the same limitations, it makes better sense to have them share the same type of page. Ultimately, it would be best to have the option to set up separate desktop, iPad, and iPhone pages. For now, recoding to have iPads read the Mobile Page would be VERY APPRECIATED. LC |

I think "mobile" is confusing since this version of the site is clearly for smart phones rather than touch devices in general. The recommended width for the"mobile" site is 480px but realistically, 370px is a better choice. If this was directed to tablets, it would appear as a long skinny strip. For smaller sites, the TriSite approach will produce a better user experience. For those who don't want to take the time to create three versions of the site - and can't use the Flex widgets for fully responsive one - a better option is to make the full site compatible with touch devices. Remember that touch devices now include the iPad Pro and laptops running a certain unmentionable OS. The Full Width widgets allow a full site to be created which is responsive down to the page content width. This means that, if the content width is set to somewhere between 770 and 800px, it will perform on iPad while expanding on computer browsers up to the maximum width setting. Open the above link and reduce the browser width until the horizontal scrollbar starts to appear. That is about the width of an iPad in portrait mode. If you find any user inputs on the Full Width demo site which aren't touch compatible - let me know. Creating a site compatible with touch devices just requires a little thought in making all use inputs at least the recommended minimum which is 32px wide by 28px in height. Make sure there are no text hyperlinks and that all items which use hovers are equally useable for touch. The Full Width Resize Header allows the default navigation drop downs to be increased in size and also for them to be closed on touch devices. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
