| I've installed EverWeb on my mac mini. I wish to transplant the app, and all it's support files and folders to a MacPro. Both computers have the same level of OS (El Capitan). Besides the obvious Application and the local site folder I've created. What else needs be moved. Better tell me where the files to be moved are located, so I can put them in the same folders in the MacPro. Thanks in advance for all your help! - Gary | |

You need the EverWeb folder which is in the Application Support folder in the user library. To reveal the user library, hold down the option key while in the Finder's Go menu. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Roddy said: "You need the EverWeb folder which is in the Application Support folder in the user library. To reveal the user library, hold down the option key while in the Finder's Go menu." Mission accomplished. HOWEVER . . . in the MacPro, I open EverWeb and it has no clue what or whee my original project is. I brought the "published web-site" from its original location, and placed it in the MacPro also. What am I missing? All I need EverWeb to do at this point is to see my project and open it. - Again, thank you for your help! - Gary |

| When in Application Support- Everweb folder, if you double click the project to open it, does EW find it after that? | |

As Jim has said, just diuble click the project file to launch it in EverWeb. Go to the Site Publishing Settings page by double clicking the Sitename at the top of the left column and browse to the "published website" folder. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | I have successfully migrated (transplanted) my site, however now certain widgets do not work. Anyone else encountered this problem or is there something else askew here. Of the two widgets one was existing on the site and the other I put new. neither works. ??? | |

Hi Cheryl If you are using any third party widgets you also need to copy them across to the Applications Support/EverWeb/Widgets folder. Hope that helps! Simon |

Roddy suggested: "When in Application Support- Everweb folder, if you double click the project to open it, does EW find it after that? " I followed your direction. Clicking on the blue project ICON caused EverWeb to open, however no other EverWeb screens were seen. I played around with EverWeb, and created a NewWebsite, NOT intending to replace the original, just one to test things with. I followed your instructions above, clicking on the NewWebsite blue ICON in the ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/EverWeb directory/folder. This caused EverWeb to open and display a choice of two web sites (as expected). The NewWebsite is accessable/available. The ORIGINAL one does not respond when double clicked on. AGAIN, I appreciate your guidance. - Gary |
