I made a website which measures 1280 x 700 pixels (to be able to watch at older screens). Why does it still fall off the screen on an ipad air 2 with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. How can I make it fit. http://www.velthuis-as.nl |

This page is set at 1280px wide. If you want that sort of "wide" look to your web design, consider using the Full Width widgets. | OK, Roddy, but 1280 wide on a 2480 pixel wide screen (in landscape mode) one would expect the page to be displayed with either a large margin around, or at least fitting. | |

It's a matter of screen size rather than resolution. See THIS page for more info about designing for different devices.
