| How long does it usually take a redirect to work? I made some changes to some URLs on my site, and redirected the old pages to the new ones. I entered the redirect URLs over 24 hours ago, but Google is still pulling up my old (now deleted) pages and not directing them to the new ones. | |

First thing to try, if you haven't- clear all your history and caches, or click the refresh arrow several times. If you haven't, you may be being fed pages stored by your system. If that doesn't work, try posting the redirect you used, or how you went about doing the redirect. It is also a good idea to inform the user they are being redirected, you can see a redirect that I did here, it has a delay of 15 seconds. |
