Viewing Menu ul li a Padding

Menu ul li a Padding

User: Roddy 10 years ago
It would be more useful if the #menu ul li a padding could be adjusted separately for top/bottom and left/right.

Adding padding increases the block height disproportionally to the width...

Adding 20px to get the text away from the left/right edges of the block gives me this...

... when I really want this...

I'll see what I can do. We don't want to provide too many options as it will just confuse people.

I guess so since a lot of people don't appear to read instructions.

You will but it's obvious that many don't read instructions judging by the questions people ask about the basics.

Some people seem to think that they don't actually have to learn anything at all to build a website.

Maybe there can be a slider, checkbox or whatever to show advanced options for people that are interested?

The new text align center feature in Beta 12 is a neat way of achieving the same effect. How come I never thought of that?

The application is called Easyweb, the idea is for it to be intuitive to the masses and not all things to all people.
User: Paul-RAGESW 10 years ago
Please provide some specific examples of how EasyWeb is not intuitive?

I would like to address all concerns. As it stands, I think that EasyWeb works very similar to iWeb. If you have used iWeb you should be able to use EasyWeb. If you feel differently please let me know and let me know where you had trouble. What were you trying to do that you didn't know how to do?

I not saying its not, but replying to Roddy who is an advance user who is saying "many do not read instructions" well that's the whole point of something being known as "easyweb" and being intuitive is surely a high priority. Their are some people who do not read instructions they like to work their way through something ... figure it out.
I really like the last video tutorial on transfering a site from iWeb which will be useful to many. I will continue to ask basic questions.

Love Easyweb ... all the work you developers are doing and really appreciate Roddy's input but I'm afraid basic questions will continue from me ... others.

Where do you find the new tutorials?

@shaun: That is ok keep asking any question you want.

@yelena: You can press the Video Tutorials button in the Projects window to find the video tutorials or, for now, visit http://www.ragesoftware.net

Great, thank you - didn't realize this button is working!

Another question: I know it has been addressed and answered but I have not been able to find it. When I open EW I get the "Your password has changed". I have an account and three separate websites, one of which was set up while I was using EW ( I am not yet publishing any of the sites though, only to a Folder on my computer). How can I disable that warning that always comes up twice? Yes, I was making changes via CPanel. It would be great to be able to operate both since I have not yet switched to EW completely....
